Baseball star Shohei Ohtani has revealed he’s married to a Japanese woman as he wrote on his Instagram account in Japanese on Thursday.

“The season is approaching but I would like to announce to everyone that I have gotten married,” he wrote. He didn’t reveal his wife’s name.

However, he added that he has known his wife for about 3-4 years. The woman lives in Japan, but she has been with him in Arizona during Spring Training.

Shohei Ohtani also said this wife is a “normal Japanese woman” to end rumors that the woman was a former professional basketball player.
